As reported previously, ZTE is not the first company to introduce the under-display camera technology, but is certainly the first to mass produce it for the smartphone market. The technology aims to promote phones with high screen-to-body ratio, while eliminating the need for notches, cutouts and even pop-up modules for front-facing cameras. While brands such as OPPO and Xiaomi are still playing it safe until the technology is fully ready to be featured in their products, ZTE appears to be confident with what they have to offer. It is believed that the company is relying on the under-display camera solution developed by Visionox, which began mass production of the technology last month. As expected from a mere teaser, the company did not provide any further information regarding the upcoming ZTE Axon 20 5G. XDA reported that alleged leaks of the device suggested that it could feature a 6.92-inch OLED display, a chipset that maxes out at 2.4Ghz, up to 12GB of RAM, and a battery capacity 4,120mAh. The unofficial source also listed the phone to include a 32MP front-facing shooter, and a rear camera setup consisting of 64MP and 8MP sensors.
