With the current Storage UI on WhatsApp, users have grown accustomed to seeing simple numerical figures describing the amount of storage left within their respective accounts. However, the latest update here brings together better visual cues. As shown in the screenshot above, the new Storage Usage UI features a bar which indicates the current storage usage much clearer. Situated below the bar is a Suggested clean up section that users can use to remove unwanted data stored within their WhatsApp account....

Are video game films capable of rising above their shameful past to reach for new heights? We’re here to answer those questions and more as we dive into the heart of why most video game films suck! Note that we will not be taking into account films like Wreck-It Ralph and Pixels, seeing that their plots and central characters are not based on any existing gaming property....

To start, the Redmi TV is a 70-inch 4K TV with support for HDR. It also supports a number of audio technologies like Dolby Atmos and DTS HD. Inside, it has a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic chipset, the PatchWall UI, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Being a smart TV, it also comes with dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. Other more conventional connectivity options include two USB ports and three HDMI ports....

As spotted by the serial SIRIM database observer Kevin Ng TK, the phone was registered as M2001J2G and approved for listing by SIRIM on 6 March. This particular model number on SIRIM database is identical to the details inside a document that Xiaomi has filed to FCC in the United States [pdf]. Even though its actual name was not specifically mentioned inside the document, Xiaomi did mention that the phone has four cameras that feature 108MP, 13MP, and two 2MP sensors....

According to the information we received from Xiaomi, the new Snapdragon 855-based device will be unveiled for Malaysian consumers on 3 April at 9:00 PM. Of course, as always, the actual rollout date of the device could be on a different date. Prior to this, local retailer DirectD has stated that the price for Mi 9 will be set at RM 1999. However, the price only applies to the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage....

Equipped with a 0.95-inch 120 x 240 AMOLED display, the Mi Smart Band 4 has a maximum brightness of 400 nits and is protected by a 2.5D tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating. The fitness tracker is also able to withstand water depth of up to 50 meters and comes with swim tracking mode. Of course, it also able to track other fitness activities such as walking, running, and cycling alongside the usual stats including steps, distance, calories, and sleep....

This fascinating feat is made possible by utilising transparent OLED technology (TOLED), which embeds all the processing units for the display in the TV’s base stand instead of its back panel. The Mi TV LUX offers a 55-inch 1920 x 1080px FHD transparent screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 150,000:1 contrast ratio, and DCI-P3 93-percent colour spectrum support. Under its hood is a custom MediaTek 9650 chipset paired with Xiaomi’s AI Master Smart Engine image processing, which offers over 20 optimisation algorithms and dedicated optimisation for 5 major use scenarios....

The Xiaomi executive says that in order to achieve a smaller size, the company would have to fit a battery with a smaller capacity. This would mean that the supposed Redmi Mini would only be equipped with a battery lower than 4,000mAh capacity, which is somewhat the norm in current generation smartphones. Mullings of producing a compact smartphone is likely credited to Apple’s recent introduction of the iPhone 12 Mini last week....

The announcement was first made via the brand’s official Weibo handle, Xiaomi TV. The message doesn’t reveal much beyond the G-SYNC mention, sadly, nor does it actually confirm if said TV would actually be its Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGD) that the brand said it would make some time ago. However, the posting did seem to promise a TV with lower latency and a more stunning visual experience. If the new Mi OLED TV happens to be a BFGD, though, then Xiaomi will also have to ensure that its new product offers at least a 75Hz refresh rate or higher, wide colour gamut, low input lag, and Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB) support, bare minimum....

The video was first posted on Weibo by a vlogger who goes by the Google-translated name “Classmate Li Dahui” and is relatively self-explanatory. In it, Dahui can be seen showing off the under-camera technology being deployed on what is obviously the Mi 10 Ultra smartphone. It explained that a new pixel arrangement and an optimisation of the under-display camera algorithm have been developed, which Xiaomi claims is capable of achieving the same performance as conventional front-facing shooters. The result of this partnership is an official MyGroser store within Shopee. This allows the former to get access to the latter’s user base. In turn, this makes the online grocery store more accessible to others that may not have a dedicated account for it, but has one for the e-commerce platform. If you already buy from MyGroser, this just gives you the option of being able to buy groceries from the company, but on another platform....

With Thailand being the defending champion, the 14th edition of the regional football tournament is available only through Astro in Malaysia prior to the announcement by the Communications and Digital Minister, Fahmi Fadzil. The minister noted that many local fans have requested RTM to broadcast the tournament which has also been suggested by Youth and Sports Minister, Hannah Yeoh. Under the arrangement by RTM, fans will be able to catch a total of 10 matches from the AFF Mitsubishi Cup through two channels including TV2 and Sukan RTM....

A recent blog post by YouTube stated that playlists, libraries and content in Play Music will not be erased just yet. This would allow users to have ample time to migrate their content and preferences to YouTube Music until the end of the year. Additionally, it added that music and other media will no longer be purchasable on Google’s platform starting later this month. To provide users with a fresh new experience, YouTube’s music streaming service has been revamped with a new Player page designed with a new Explore tab, and some new integrations with existing Google services....

In what can only be described as a tone-deaf move, whoever was handling ZOTAC USA’s Twitter account decided to come out in support of the recently revived GPU mining movement, posting an image of a mining rig being powered by multiple GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge graphics cards. Then, to add insult to injury, it also tagged the photo with the hashtag “#PcGaming”, despite it bearing no relevance to gaming....

This was made known by ZTE president Ni Fei, who made the announcement in a post on Chinese social media Weibo earlier today. He mentioned that the new smartphone will be launched soon, but did not specify a date or further details regarding it. However, it is revealed that the post was submitted by Fei via a new device known as the ZTE A20 5G, which is quite likely the model that is planned to be debuted....

The folks at Disney have pretty much made what is the cinematic equivalent of Rome in the days of 117 AD. It’s time for that Mouse to weep cause there ain’t no more lands to conquer, right? Nope, the Marvel dream machine does not sleep and while there hasn’t been any official Phase 4 info announced, there were some major films hinted within the plot of Endgame itself. The Mouse isn’t done yet, not by a longshot....
