To make use of the software, all you have to do is install it, and then connect a compatible Nikon camera to your PC via a USB cable. Even if you already have one, this can be a higher-quality option, as can those by the other brands mentioned above.
Though the Webcam Utility Software itself is not exactly new. ePHOTOzine reported on it back in August. But back then, the software only supported a small number of cameras from the Nikon D and Z series. With the recent update, the list of compatible cameras have grown quite a bit. The company also says that it will be making the software compatible with future mirrorless and DSLR models. While this is good news, it comes at a strange time for Nikon camera users in Malaysia.
