The Director General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said that the MOH is talking with fashion designers, and is working with other agencies to work towards getting a continuous flow of PPE. The statement came in response to a question regarding if the MOH is engaging with factories directly for PPE production.

The number of PPE items being used by healthcare workers amounts to 59 million in a month. DR Noor Hisham also noted that there are actually 18 items under the category of PPE. We know that the Malaysia Official Designers Association (MODA) is working Fashionvalet and IMARET in getting materials and making PPEs. They are among the many organisatons and companies that unexpectedly shifted to helping fight this pandemic. These include other international fashion brands, as well as others in the automotive, tech and hospitality worlds. (Source: RTM / Facebook)
