Surprisingly, Microsoft has been kind enough to divide the specs sheet into sub-categories. Depending on whether you have a machine running purely on AMD components or one with an Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU. On that note, Flight Simulator doesn’t appear to be very demanding; the game’s minimum specs require either a Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-4460, a Radeon RX 570 or GeForce GTX 770, 8GB RAM, and an internet speed of at least 5Mbps. Moving up the ladder, the recommended specs does ask for slightly beefier hardware; you’ll need Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i5-8400, either a Radeon RX 590 or GeForce GTX 970, 16GB RAM, and 20Mbps connection. Of course, if you’re looking to run the game at full whack, however, you’ll need a Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X or Intel Core i7-9800X, between a Radeon VII or GeForce RTX 2080, 32GB RAM, and a steady internet speed of 50Mbps. At the time of writing, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator still hasn’t received a specific release date, but the company has said that it will be available sometime this year.
