The Duel comes with a 6.65-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate to reduce input lag. It’s all-screen experience is unhindered by the likes of notches or punch-hole cutouts thanks to a side mounted pop-up front-facing camera module on its left. The reason why the module is not located at the top is because the phone is designed to be used in the horizontal orientation for gaming. Additionally, the camera appearing from the side is intended to help streamers to easily add in face-cam footage without the need of using an external device when streaming while gaming.

Other than that, the phone features dual stereo front-facing speakers and two ultrasonic air trigger buttons on its side for additional command input for games such as COD: Mobile and PUBG Mobile. The new Lenovo device comes with Legion OS (based on Android 10) out of the box, and also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The Duel features not one, but two USB-C ports for charging – one on the phone’s bottom and the other on its right side (where the lock button is located). The reason for this is to provide an ergonomically-friendly charging position on the phone when used horizontally for gaming.

Powering the gaming smartphone is the aforementioned Snapdragon 865+ SoC paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Another impressive feature found on the gaming smartphone is a split-cell battery totalling at 5,000mAh that is located on the top and bottom of the device. It is equipped with 90W Turbo Power Charging technology, which Lenovo claims could fully charge the Duel in 30 minutes. However, the company noted that users are required to utilise both USB-C ports in order to achieve the full 90W fast charging speed. Photography-wise, the Duel features a dual-camera setup on its back consisting of a 64MP main sensor and a 16MP ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view. According to Lenovo, the main camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. Housed in the side-mounted pop-up module is a 20MP front-facing camera.

The Lenovo Legion Duel Phone will be available for sale in China soon, and is planned to launch in other regions including Malaysia by the end of the year. The new gaming phone will arrive in four configurations: 8GB/128GB priced at CNY3,499 (~RM2,125), 12GB/128GB at CNY3,899 (~RM2,370), 12GB/256GB at CNY4,199 (~RM2,550), and 16GB/512GB at CNY5,999 (~RM3,640).
