Now, the company is suing the US government in order to overturn the ban. Android Central reports that Huawei claims the banning is unconstitutional as does not give it the right to a fair trial. The company has been, alongside fellow Chinese brand ZTE, accused of having ties with the Chinese government. This makes the company liable to put vulnerabilities in its network equipment, allowing to Chinese government easier espionage access.
Huawei’s suing of the US government comes close behind the company’s CFO, who sued Canada’s police and border security a few days earlier. The CFO, Meng Wanzhou, was arrested in Canada last December at the request of the US government under charges of fraud and violating US sanctions against Iran. While all this is going on, the US government is also trying to convince its allies to not use Huawei devices and equipment. (Source: Android Central)
