Prior to this, GrabFood has set its delivery fee as RM 5. With the new system, the fee can now go up to RM 9 depends on the distance of the restaurants or food outlets that customers choose. Naturally, Grab pointed out that the new tiered system allows the company to compensate its riders better given the distance that they have to go through. While Grab Malaysia has provided a statement to The Star, it actually has yet to directly clarify the changes on its app, website, or social media through.
