The news was from broken by 9to5Google last month, who in turn made found a report about the planned update on a Chromium Gerrit page. The page is specific about the Switch Controllers that the update will support when it goes live. This includes the Switch Pro, the left and right Joy-Con, and the Switch Charging Grip; all of which will be able to link up with Chrome via Bluetooth.

While this bit of news is welcoming, Google still hasn’t provided an exact timeline over when it intends to deploy this update. However, seeing how Google has already announced Stadia, it’s possible that the support update will be made available. Just before or a little bit later after the Stadia service becomes available this year. (Source: Chromium Gerrit via Den of Geek, Digital Trends)
