As you may be able to guess, what made the two new chairs – Caliber X1C and Caliber R2C – different from previous Cooler Master Caliber gaming chairs is their material. Called Cool-In Tech, the fabric has been infused with “Jade Powder” to help dissipate heat faster although the company didn’t clarify whether actual jade stones were used or the name is just a reference to the material’s cooling property. [Images: Cooler Master Malaysia.]Cooler Master claimed that the fabric is around 1°C to 2°C cooler as compared to conventional material which helped increase the overall comfort level of X1C and R2C. Protected by a layer of DuPont Teflon, the company said that the fabric has been developed to be scratch-resistant as well. Equipped with a steel frame as their foundation, both chairs can support users’ weight of up to 150kg and have a recline range of 90 to 180 degrees. While the X1C is equipped with an aluminum base and has 4-way adjustable armrests, the R2C comes with a steel base instead and the armrest adjustments are limited to their height as well as swivel direction.
In terms of pricing, the Caliber X1C can be obtained for RM1,499 while the Caliber R2C is priced slightly lower at RM1,199. Both gaming chairs are readily available through Cooler Master’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee as well as authorised dealers all over Malaysia.
