According to a report by Eurogamer Portugal, the framerate cap is supposedly intentional and may not be a permanent implementation; Ubisoft says that it’s still working on making the game reach that magical 60 fps on the next-gen console. On a cheerier note, it did say that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will benefit from faster loading times as well as the obvious ability to run on native 4K resolution. Running a game at native 4K resolution while maintaining a constant framerate of 60 fps is no easy feat on the PC, let alone a console. As it stands, even the most decked out desktop gaming PC finds it near impossible to pull off, at least not without scaling back on several features. On a related note, it’s unlikely that the game will be receiving Microsoft’s “Optimised for Xbox Series X” badge, which let gamers know when a game is optimized for the console. Sporting the ability to run the game at 120Hz on 4K, supports DirectStorage, hardware accelerated ray-tracing, and faster load times. (Source: Techspot, The Verge)
