DualShockers reports that according to a Ubisoft representative, the game will indeed be running in 60fps. But the catch here is that it will be in upscaled 4K rather than native 4K. While not ideal, it certainly beats having the game locked at 30fps, no matter the resolution.
There was initially confusion regarding if players will have to choose between 4K or 60fps, thanks to Ubisoft’s own choice of words. In its own post regarding its upcoming games, the publisher has reportedly rewritten the PlayStation 5 entry for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that it can indeed do both at the same time, even if the 4K bit isn’t native. Ubisoft is also as imprecise with the performance figures of its other game, Watch Dogs: Legion. Forumers at Beyond3D allege that the game uses dynamic resolution, upscaled up to 4K. But both next generation consoles getting released later this month, that’s probably when we’ll get the exact numbers for both games. (Source: Ubisoft, DualShockers, Beyond3D via GameRant)
