The phone will reportedly sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, up to 12GB of RAM, and between 256GB and 512GB of storage. The biggest reveal here is that it may run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1, Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC that boasts better speeds and efficiency.

Specifically, it will be equipped with a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide, a 48MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and will be assisted with a laser autofocus system. The front is expected to feature the same 20MP selfie camera as last year’s 11 Ultra. While neither Xiaomi nor Leica has confirmed what products will bear their partnership branding, industry insider Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will carry the iconic red logo from Leica next to its camera. The leakster also claimed that the phone will come with black leather and white ceramic options for the back panel. The upcoming flagship is expected to get a slightly smaller 4800 mAh battery compared to its predecessor’s 5000 mAh battery. It may also support 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, which is another downgrade if true as the 11 Ultra supports 67W wireless charging. It is still unknown when exactly Xiaomi plans to officially reveal the 12 Ultra, but rumours have suggested that the tech giant might launch the phone in the third quarter of this year. There is no word yet on the pricing or the secondary screen seen on the previous model. (Source: Yogesh Brar/Twitter)
