The patent was unearthed by the Dutch rumour page, Let’s Go Digital, who found it submitted to the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) back in 2021. It envisions a Galaxy Z Fold smartphone with its foldable display technology wrapping around to the back of the phone like Huawei’s Mate X foldable smartphone. The catch to this foldable display? The foldable part of the display is built into the upper half of the phone and, when unfolded, forms an upside-down L-shape....

One important point to note about these processors is that there aren’t simply just CPUs but are, indeed, APUs. This is because all Ryzen 6000 Series mobile processors do not just house CPU cores; they’re also housing AMD’s powerful GPU cores based on the RDNA2 architecture. Circling back to the CPU cores, the new Ryzen 6000 Series Mobile processors are based on AMD’s new and improved Zen 3+ architecture that in turn, are manufactured off of TSMC’s 6nm die lithography....

The information alleged comes from a close source to the serial leakster site, Videocardz, known simply by the handle Disclosuzen. On another note, Disclosuzen also told Videocardz that another entry-level GPU, the RX 6400, will not be distributed via AMD’s AiB partners, but exclusively through OEMs. For the record, the informant doesn’t exactly say which foundry will be providing the process node for the Navi 24 but at this stage, it’s likely to be TSMC and its N6 process....

Like its siblings, the 6700XT is based on the RDNA2 GPU architecture, while the reference card is equipped with a dual-fan cooling solution instead of the usual triple-fan chassis AMD slapped onto the 6900XT and 6800 series. The rumour first came to light when prominent leakster Greymon55 (@greymon55) tweeted the possibility of a Navi 2X refresh but more importantly, it would be based on a slightly thinner 6nm die lithography. As for the part regarding the limited capacity, the leakster says suggest that the alleged Navi 2X GPUs could end up being relegated to the mid-range and entry-level Radeon lineup. Specifically, a Radeon RX 7600XT or 7500XT, but do note that these model names are unofficial and as it stands, it is unlikely that any word about said GPUs are going to surface anytime soon....

As a quick recap, the Ryzen 6000 Series Mobile CPUs are based on the improved Zen3+ CPU architecture that are, in turn, built around the new 6nm process. Through the new 6nm process, AMD says it was able to design and build new mobile processors that are significantly more power-efficient than their Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile counterparts. Moreover, the majority of the new mobile CPUs also come paired with Radeon 600M graphics core, based on the RDNA2 architecture that was first introduced with the Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card lineup....

The document, which was published by Chip and Cheese, contains a compatibility table for Socket AM5, which is set to be AMD’s platform to support Zen 4 Ryzen. The table seems to contain an “On-Chip Graphics” section, listing three different kinds of AM5 processors, all equipped with “Hybrid GFX Support”. Unsurprisingly, the table doesn’t say exactly what kind of graphics cores will provide the GFX support, but it stands to reason that the Zen 4 CPUs may just be made to accommodate GPU cores based on the current RDNA2 graphics architecture....

According to the leak, one of the biggest changes to the operating system (visually, at least) seems to be a system-wide dark mode. To be precise, the feature won’t automatically be implemented, but there will apparently be an option for users to activate it via the settings. Apple stated that more than 75 million songs will be made available in Lossless Audio. That being said, the initial rollout will cover twenty million songs at first while the rest will follow through by the end of this year. Once it is available in June, Apple Music subscribers can enable the option by going to Settings > Music > Audio Quality and then they can choose the quality based on their connection preferences or for download....

As per customary, WWDC-related rumours have started flying around but one part of the report by the consumer technology reporter at Bloomberg, Mark Gurman has certainly caught our attention. According to Mark, Apple will be moving away from iTunes by launching three new apps for the Mac. These apps come in the form of Music, TV, and Podcasts which already existed on iPhones and iPad. Given the fact that iTunes has been around for more than 18 years, it is rather understandable that long-time Apple user might feel awkward with the move but it looks like a logical move to us since the company itself is going big with individual services such as Apple Music and Apple TV+....

The basic idea here is that if a dev makes less than US$1 million (~RM4.09 million) a year, Apple will reduce their commission rate to 15%. But if in that calendar year the dev’s revenue surpasses the US$1 million mark, the cut goes back up to 30% until the next calendar year. The company says that the finer details will be released next month in December. But for now, the Apple App Store Small Business Program is pretty straight forward....
