The 7-Eleven mobile app, called 7Pay, came with a flaw in its password reset function. 7Pay’s implementation allowed anyone to request for a password reset, as it allowed the reset link to be sent to any email address, not just the account owner’s. The fraudster will still need the account owner’s email address, date of birth, and phone number. 7-Eleven Japan said that it will compensate all users who lost their account and funds in it....

The HONOR Pad 8 is a 12-inch tablet that sports a 2000×1200 pixel IPS panel with a peak brightness of 350 nits and a 60Hz refresh rate. This is because we were not aware of its existence in Malaysia until we stumbled upon the desktop machine alongside both gaming laptops at Thunder Match Technology’s HP booth during last weekend’s Malaysia IT Fair. We then cross-checked the model with HP Malaysia’s online store and found it there as well. Additionally, the refreshed model also still features 4GB of RAM but the previous Kirin 810 processor has now been replaced with a Kirin 820 processor which carries a slight boost in term of firepower....

To recap our previous coverage, either model of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 features an 11-inch 120Hz OLED display which features a resolution of 2560 x 1600 px, up to 120 Hz refresh rate, and an output of 1.07 billion colours. Also onboard are a total of four microphones with echo cancelling, as well as six Huawei Sound enhanced speakers. Both tablets measure at only 5.9mm thick, with a weight of 455 g for the LTE model and 449 g for the WiFi-only variant....

Images of the packed up RTX 3080 Ti appeared among other models, including the RTX 3080, 3090, AMD Radeon RX 580, and even the GT 710, all having been sealed and ready to ship out from China to the US. More specifically, the RTX 3080 Ti was of an MSI make, under the AiB partner’s Ventus 3X OC lineup. Farmers have camped out around Delhi for over a month, protesting new agricultural laws that erode the government protections they’ve long enjoyed (like assured prices for their produce) against the free market. Given that many of the protesters have used social media to voice their discontent and raise support for their cause, they predictably responded very poorly to the Internet shutdown. But this certainly isn’t the first time that India, the world’s largest democracy, has resorted to shutting down the Internet when things heat up....

For the former, a notification saying that DM’ing them isn’t possible will appear when an adult tries to message a teen who is not following them. As for the latter, Instagram will put up a huge Safety Notice. This tells teens to not feel pressured to respond, as well as letting them choose if they want to block, report, or even restrict the adult. An adult’s account would be marked as suspicious if it has sent a lot of friend or message requests to others under the age of 18....

The portion of the message has long since been deleted by Intel, but you can find the original statement archived on the Wayback Machine. Initially, the message was a subpoint to Intel’s point regarding human trafficking and involuntary labour. On that note, it is likely that the statement came after the US imposed further sanctions, specifically on Chinese companies that had or currently have a hand in the repression of the region’s Muslim Uyghurs....

That isn’t to say that there isn’t any interest in these laptops. When asked when and where consumers could purchase these ARC-powered laptops on Twitter, Intel responded almost immediately, saying customers will soon be able to purchase new Intel laptops with ARC graphics “by the end of the second quarter of 2022”. Beyond that, the statement does not clarify why that is the case, nor does it explain why it is technically backtracking on the GPU’s promised availability....

Intel’s 9th generation Core X series line comprises the boxed and tray versions of the Core i7-9800K, i9-9820X, i9-9900X, i9-9920X, i9-9960X, and the i9-9980X. Additionally, the list includes Xeon CPUs that were also built using the same CPU architecture. Specifically, the Xeon W-2102, W-2104, W-2123, W-2125, W-2133, W-2135, W-2145, W-2155, and W-2195. The semiconductor maker’s decision to discontinue its Skylake-X CPUs is of little surprise to anybody. The CPU lineup is technically dated, having already been succeeded by its 10th generation Cascade Lake-X CPU....
