If you planning to get your hands on it, do note that the battery pack does not come with any cable or charger. Apple has noted that you should fully charge the battery, which is built with a Lightning port, using at least a 20W charger before putting it into active duty. That being said, the company pointed out that the battery is actually charging at 15W. When it is in operation, the battery pack will charge your iPhone at 5W and you can also charge both of them at the same time if needed although you may have to wait for the iPhone to gain at least 80% of its power first before the charging process begins for the battery pack....

The MagSafe Battery Pack was released last year and has a disappointing capacity of only 1460mAh so it’s not a solution to charge your phone multiple times over, unlike most power banks out there. However, as per its name, the battery pack does have the added convenience of MagSafe which lets you charge your iPhone just by mounting the pack on its back. It’s not surprising that Apple is able to deliver a faster charging speed through a software update as the battery pack is able to charge the iPhone 12 and 13 at 15W when it is plugged into a 20W power adapter....

The support document on the company’s website stated that a small number of users have experienced their Apple Watch Series 5 and SE to not charge after entering Power Reserve mode. It added that the issue is reported to occur on the aforementioned devices that are running on watchOS 7.2 or 7.3. On that note, to check which firmware is currently operating on your devices, simply open the Watch app on your iPhone or the Settings app on your wearable....

ORIGINAL STORY (3:35PM, 31 January 2019): In response to Facebook’s “research” app, Apple has shuttered Facebook’s internal iOS apps. This includes a surprisingly wide range of apps used by Facebook’s internal staff. According to The Verge, this includes early and beta versions of apps as well as other internal tools like transportation and lunch menus. More specifically, Apple has revoked Facebook’s enterprise certificates which allows the latter to distribute apps to employees without needing Apple’s approval....

The desktop computer’s aluminium chassis is 7.7-inch x 3.7-inch, which Apple says fits under most displays. The back sports four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10 Gb Ethernet port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a high-impedance audio jack. On the front side, it has an SD card slot and two USB-C ports, which support USB 3.0 for M1 Max systems and Thunderbolt 4 on M1 Ultra systems. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5....

The company said its quarterly revenue grew by 21% to US$111.44 billion (~RM450 billion). Reuters, citing data from research firm IDC, said that Apple captured 23.4% of the global smartphone market last quarter, making it the reigning king of the hill – at least for awhile. Apple has now 1.65 billion devices active throughout the world, company CEO Tim Cook told Reuters, and that includes over 1 billion iPhones. Once again, China came in strongly for the company – surging sales in the country by 57% to US$21....

Aside from the lower price tag, Apple is also bringing over the LTE variant of the Apple Watch Series 3, two years after the stand-alone GPS variant was made available in Malaysia.
