It comes as no surprise that Microsoft may have opted for this approach, as Apple had blocked cloud gaming services such as xCloud and Google Stadia from its App Store. The reason being that these services are offering games that are not sold on the store, which are also obtainable from other platforms. Prior to this, Apple offered both companies a proposal where they are required to individually submit the games offered on their services as separate apps that are purchasable via App Store....

To be precise, the vulnerabilities have been narrowed down to two remote code executions (RCE) vulnerabilities that allows hackers to unpackage and run their code on a victim’s PC. And then proceed to execution actions online, without them realising it. Also, the vulnerability affects all versions of Windows and Windows Server OS. As per the software company’s update, there are multiple ways that a hacker could exploit the vulnerability. One action being the ability to convince users to “open a specially crafted document or viewing on the Windows Preview pane”....

According to CNBC, regulatory filings show an interesting flow of events. First was the WSJ report that landed on 16 November. Like the Surface Neo, The Surface Duo can be folded thanks to its 360-degree hinge. But it’s significantly smaller, measuring a little smaller than a lot of flagship phones of today when folded. When unfolded, its two 5.6-inch displays combining into an 8.3-inch display. It also runs a version of Android, but no mention of which one specifically. It’s also got an overlay that makes it look like the Windows 10X found on the Surface Neo....

Despite it being ARM-based, Microsoft says that this is a full-fledged Surface Pro device. It’s armed with a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset called the Surface SQ1. The company claims that this is a 7W processor which gives it the power to compete with its other Surface devices. On the outside, it looks pretty much like any other surface device. It has a 13-inch display, weighs (~760g) and is 5.3mm thin at its thinnest point....

In a letter to shareholders, Netflix says that it is not only expanding into games, but also will not charge users extra for the feature. The company says that its gaming efforts are building on its earlier efforts around interactivity, like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. That being said, Netflix didn’t elaborate on what its gaming plans actually are. The company does say that it will initially be focusing on games on mobile devices, which doesn’t really say much....

Minyoung Kim, VP of content for Asia at Netflix, told The Hollywood Reporter that the company is looking to expand Squid Game to “games, consumer products, and others”. She notes that there has been “an overwhelming but happy volume of requests” to do so. The video games side of things make sense, but it’s unclear what sort of direction that Netflix wants to take Squid Game into. The company’s previous dabbling in the field produced a couple of games based on the Stranger Things series....

For starters, Quandt says the Japanese consumer electronics giant intends to present the earbuds market with something different. The device is said to feature a 12mm audio driver, accompanied by Sony’s V1 processor – the same chip included with last year’s WF-1000XM4 earbuds. Its earpiece’s ring-like shape is actually designed to let in external noises and lacks active noise canceling (ANC) capabilities, likely to provide awareness to the wearer. The WF-L900 does come with the ability to filter environmental audio for phone calls and such....

The Cupertino giant intends on installing Qualcomm’s new 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. That was recently announced during its annual Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. Moreover, a report by MacRumors also says that Apple is partnering up with the Taiwan-based touchscreen manufacturer, GIS, in order to develop iPhones that will be able to utilise the under-display security technology. Apple’s decision to use Qualcomm’s fingerprint scanning technology is rather – for lack of a better word – surprising....

Based on the reviews on the official app’s Google Play page, several users are complaining about how the app wouldn’t work properly.
