The Facebook-owned subsidiary says that there has been a significant increase in the amount of forwarding recently. In a statement, the company says that some users feel overwhelmed by all the forwarding. This could also contribute to the spread of misinformation. In addition to that, WhatsApp also feels that slowing down the forwarding of messages will keep messages on the app more personal. All this amounts to is an incremental change to what is currently already in place....

At the moment, users can only transfer the chat history from iOS to Android but not the other way around. Not only that, the feature will be rolled out to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 first before making its way to other Samsung devices with Android 10 or higher in “the coming weeks”. Furthermore, the transfer process is not as direct as you may be expected. This is because it is an offline process that requires the usage of Lightning to USB-C cable which is something that has been noted by WABetaInfo before, based on a recent beta build made for Android....

In regards to the other two major operating systems, WhatsApp specifies that Android smartphones running on versions 2.3.7 and older will have until 1 February 2020. The same deadline is also applicable for iPhones still on iOS 8 or older as well. On another note, WhatsApp also mentioned that it will still provide support for devices running on Android OS 4....

Microsoft made the announcement via the Windows Insider Blog that the feature will be making its way to the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226. What this new functionality essentially does is that it suggests new songs to users based on several factors including their listening history, playlist name, and songs that are already in the playlist. The test leaks confirms that Intel’s Z490 chipset does indeed feature support for PCIe 4.0, but the interface won’t work with the current 10th generation Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs, for the simple fact that it doesn’t come with PCIe 4.0 support. 3M’s technology is known as Near Infrared Transmission System (NITS) and technically speaking, its goal is to do what in-display fingerprint scanners do: to actively scan or read a user’s fingerprint from the back of an LCD display. 3M explains that its display technology uses micro-thin 3M optical display films. Allowing fingerprints to be scanned from behind said LCD panel. Considering that brands such as Qualcomm, Samsung, and Huawei already employ their own in-display fingerprint scanner in one form or another, it’s not wrong to say that many of us are left wondering who 3M is peddling its NITS technology too....
